my husband and i are from here. we are married on 5/18, and each year pay homage to our favorite place and time by visiting a historical establishment in the area. we stayed at the argus motel last night and it was nothing short of an incredible experience. the grounds are beautiful, the staff are very personable and friendly, and our bed was super comfy. the room was so clean and we really enjoyed the butler kitchen breakfast. thank you for everything!
I recently had the Argus host my 70th birthday bash and it was amazing! The venue (intimate dinner for 12 in the conference room) was beautiful and cozy, the lounge is lovely and the staff worked tirelessly to create an experience we will all remember. The food was outstanding and everyone who attended will be back!
Far more interesting than typical hotels, lists of characters, nearby is a small lake and park with lots of green. Walking distance to the downtown. All great, one bad was the neighbor who lives in the basement was very loud, talking on phone all the time , his dog barked often
Fantastic boutique hotel steps away from a great park. I couldn't beleive I was in downtown Albany. The hosts are friendly and accomodating. The rooms have character and the whole stay is an experience! Great spot for a romantic getaway.
Absolutely loved a private event we got to do here for my moms birthday. Everyone was so helpful in putting the event together, the venue is amazing, as is the service!!! Must go even if just for a drink at the wonderful bar :)
We weren’t sure about this place as we approached the neighborhood seemed sketchy, but then it changed to historic mansions. It felt perfectly safe,and was perfectly safe and quiet neighborhood. Lovely location beside Washington Park, great walking trails, and beautiful flowers. The owner assisted us in plugging in our van generator for a recharge. He was incredibly helpful. The self serve breakfast kitchen was very nice. A nice variety and good coffee. The room and bed were comfortable, water pressure perfect, and room temperature perfect. I highly recommend a stay here over a traditional hotel.
